Tell your Rep to Oppose CARE COURT Now!

Governor Newsom's "CARE Court" bill (SB 1338) that would criminalize homelessness and mental health is headed for a final vote on the Assembly floor.

This bill would force people into treatment instead of providing housing and compassionate care. The proposal would give the state and ordinary citizens the power to initiate this process. If the person refuses or the treatment is not deemed "successful", the state will have more power than ever to impose hospitalization, state conservatorship, forced medication, or criminal penalties.
