Its Black August 2026 and Mr Davis is back. Now Dr. Davis after earning a PhD in Education, the class is back to talk origins, the African presence around the world, introductory African American History and the glorious golden age of our ancestors. I have been seeing posts of people suggesting that we as African Americans do not descend from Africa. Speculating that the origins of African Americans can be found in America. That “They Came Before Columbus” by Dr. Ivan Van Sertima suggests that our ancestors do not originate on the continent, however genetics, history, global migration and Van Sertima himself tell a different story. They do not tell a story of a lost connection to the continent, they tell a story about the lost connection to our own history. So this series is not picking up where we left off, it is charting a new beginning, an origin to all humanity, all civilization, and the chartable ancestry of African people around the world.
